  • Why do you say you are so much better than your competition?

    Quite simply, Boss was founded under the premise that we would take all of the advantages that each competitor had over the others and offer those features! So, we have the best of the best.  We then took all of the things that our partners did not like from them and we removed them! We thus removed the worst from the best.  Next, we saw all of the different types of solutions that can be added that none offer. We then put them all together in a tech portal that does not exist!  

    For example: 

    • We offer options for non-recourse receivables (where you have no risk on collections);
    • We offer options for instant pay, so you get your profit upfront!
    • We allow you to be the legal Employer Of Record or Boss to be. 
    • We can fund your payroll or you can fund your payroll
    • We can simply just find your insurance. We are literally a one-stop shop!
    • We can connect your ATS to our portal for seamless integration
    • We brand your logo everywhere. No, not like the competition. We really mean it. Your portal will have your logo! Your invoices have it. Your contracts have it. You’ll even have your own subdomain URL. 
    • We cover more industries and sectors. For example, while most will only allow you to place professional or clerical staff (workers comp code 8810), we can handle a much more diversified portfolio of clients, including Healthcare (clinical and non-clinical), Light Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Scientific, Construction, Manufacturing and more!
    • We have the best technology in our space and why we launched. You must have a demo of our systems to see the state of the art portals that you, your clients and your candidates will access.   You will set up your new clients and candidates in seconds with our new state of the art portal. All is done online, including the invoicing, collections, and more!  All of our data, unlike our competitors, is accessible to you 24 hours a day via the portal. This includes all job/work order history, time card history, client history, commissions, receivables, and more. Why settle for emailed reports weekly, when you can enter the 21st century using the latest technology!
    • We charge our fees on a simple cost-plus basis. We charge only a flat 23% fee (for professional staff, Rates will increase by an increase in Workers Comp rates for others) of the pay rate.  There are no hidden fees.  Don’t settle for fees based upon Bill Rate. When you are on a Bill Rate system, you pay more for every extra dollar of margin that you charge. With us, you won’t get penalized for getting a high margin % or mark up.  Ours is also simple to calculate. We charge. 
    • We don’t charge any enrollment nor set up fees. We don’t have a minimum pay rate. We don’t require any minimum lengths of an assignment. We don’t charge for MEC healthcare.

  • What is an EOR ( Employer Of Record)?

    An employer of Record, also known as an “EOR”, acts as the legal employer of a temporary worker, while you place your candidate on an assignment. This is for all legal purposes, as well as including tax, Administrative, and Personnel related items.  An EOR will handle traditional functions that any employer would, including but not limited to: processing timesheets, running payroll, I-9, W-2, benefits onboarding, and the like.  

    This is just one of the many solutions we provide. If you want to be the EOR then we can do that for you, as well.

  • Can we still be the Employer Of Record and not Boss?

    Yes! Unlike our competitors that give you a one size fits all solution, at BOSS, we offer you the option of your remaining or being your own Employer of Record (EOR).  You then have two options. You can either fund with us (we call that Full Service Back Office) OR you can fund the payroll also and use our tremendous tech platform and the rest of the back office suite. 

  • Can we do our own funding and save money?

    Yes! Unlike the one size fits all strategy of our competition, at Boss, you fund your own payroll or we can fund it! If you fund it, we pass the savings right onto you!  Why pay for that if you have the capital? You also have the option of your being the Employer Of Record or Boss being the Employer of Record. 

  • We only need insurance. How can Boss help?

    We are a one-stop shop for you! If you don’t need our funding nor Employer of Record Solutions, then we can help you with your insurance needs.  Check out our insurance offer here. We can provide you insurance nationwide through the top carriers! Insurance offerings include:

  • Can you handle my Healthcare or Light Industrial positions?

    Yes! BOSS, through our partnership with our Previous entity “The Dynamic Signature Back Office” can handle many more positons than our competitors. Not only do we handle your professional/clerical/admin (8810) temps, but we can also handle your healthcare positions (both clinical and non-clinical); pharmaceutical; Light Industrial; Construction, Manufacturing, and more!

  • How much will Boss Cost me?

    BOSS, unlike the majority of our competitors, charges you a very low and simple to calculate 23% fee for our full EOR service. This includes the normal payroll burden plus the worker’s comp insurance and service fee.  We don’t hide our fees and believe that we should be fully transparent.  Our worker’s comp rate included is 0.5%. Should you use us for non-professional positions, we will simply charge you the actual WC rate for that specific position/location.  You can utilize our instant quote tool here to calculate your exact profit.

  • What is included in your “turnkey” solution?

    BOSS will act as the legal Employer of Record for your temps, or the legal Agent of Record (AOR) for your 1099 contractors, as you place them on assignment.  BOSS provides a complete turnkey solution, starting from the onboarding of your temps (benefit plans, compliance, I-9,), payrolling them (including online time cards, payroll funding, all statutory withholdings (FUTA, SUTA, FICA), claims (unemployment and workers comp) all the way through year-end filings.

  • Is BOSS part of a staffing firm?

    BOSS is a completely vendor-neutral platform. You provide the candidate and client and we act as the Employer of Record and handle the rest.  We are neither a staffing firm nor a recruiting agency. All that we do is handle your back office and help coach you to greatness. We will never compete with you.

  • How much can I make placing temps with Boss?

    The world of temporary staffing profit is your oyster. Conservatively, you can make $25,000 per year on a very low pay rate!  Use our profit calculator to show you exactly how much you will make based upon your state/bill rate and pay rate!  Many recruiters make a few hundred thousand extra dollars per year! We are happy to walk you through the math and analysis. 

     

     

  • What other services are provided, such as background check, etc

    We provide a slew of additional services, as your request. we NEVER make a profit on them, and will only pass on our group rates. You can request these items in your portal and also advise if you want to pay for them or have us invoice your clients.  Examples include:

    • LinkedIn Recruiter group discount
    • Drug tests
    • Premium Background checks (we provide the standard ones for free)
    • Licensing verifications
    • Statutory time off (required PTO, sick time, etc)
    • Expenses and per diem
  • What is a PEO VS an EOR?

    Although a PEO is always an EOR, an EOR is not a PEO.  They are both similar, but the difference is that most staffing firms use a PEO for their entire internal staff and for an unlimited timeframe.    While Boss is a pure EOR (the only employer of record),  a PEO uses joint ownership of your temps and thus dual EOR. This creates a co-employment situation and thus won’t protect you from any possible litigation or risk. Additionally, you will need to maintain your own insurances, etc for your temps. 

  • When will I get paid?

    You will get paid as soon as the client pays. We simply deduct the markup charged for burden, insurance & fees.  However, if you upgraded to “instant pay”, you will get paid upfront, before the client pays! 

    Note that our Light Industrial and Healthcare partners will receive instant pay as part of the fee and no extra cost.

     

  • Do You have a minimum billing requirement or assignment length

    No! We never require neither a minimum assignment length or minimum payroll requirement.  If you feel that the business is worthwhile to pursue, then so will we. 

  • Do you charge any set up fees and what are your terms?

    BOSS enrollment and set up is completely free. Simply fill out our online enrollment form and you will instantly have a portal profile created. There is never a fee to do this. Additionally, unlike most funding companies, we do not require any term of our contract nor do we require any exclusivity. You can use us if and only if we continue to impress you! It’s our goal each day to re-earn your business.

  • Will my brand and logo be used?

    Yes. Your portal will be fully branded with your logo! You also will have your own branded subdomain for people to log in with.  Additionally, the invoices will be duly branded with your logo and BOSS! Our competitors may use your name on an invoice but often won’t allow them on the timecards, portal, and more.  Similarly, many will only provide your name and not your logo!

  • Do you provide healthcare benefits for my temps?

    Yes. Your temps will be eligible for a MEC , ACA compliant healthcare plan. They will eligible on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. There will be no cost to you for these benefits. 

  • What insurance will I need?

    The great answer is that you won’t require any insurance. As the EOR, BOSS will provide all of your insurance. Our comprehensive policies cover Professional liability, general liability, cyber, theft, and worker’s compensation insurance.  However, if you want to employ your own temps, we can supply you with all of the insurance needs that you have! We provide an onsite full serviced national brokerage team. 

  • Can I use my own contracts for my clients?

    Absolutely. BOSS is a “contract neutral” provider. This means, that we can work with you for any type of contract scenario. Most importantly, since BOSS is a fully automated platform, the client contracts will be uploaded to your portal.  We can use either: your contract; your client’s contract; or our third-party agreement.  We can work with most agreements and will focus only on a few main areas: The payment terms; any indemnity agreements; and obligations of the parties.

  • How do I begin with BOSS?

    All you need to do is complete our state of the art online recruiter enrollment. This will create your personal portal for the lifetime of your account. The process is the simplest in the industry. You can be enrolled in 60 seconds. Once you are enrolled, you are good to go. We can have you set up the same day for the same day start!

    You will be emailed your start-up kit and you can be scheduled for your personal live onboarding call.  From there, it’s even easier. Your portal will be your home for all of your activities.  Your portal will be where you enter new client requests, new candidates, and placement data.  All information is in your portal at all times and in real time. There will not be a need to wait a week for old fashioned reports simply emailed to you. Get your information when and where and how you want it!
